The story began in 1877, when the first planters arrived in the misty Kanan Devan Hills. More than a century later, the Kanan Devan Hills Plantations Company Private Limited continues the enduring tradition of tea cultivation. In 2005, KDHP was born taking over the plantation business from Tata Tea Limited.

Today, KDHP is the world’s largest employee-owned tea enterprise, where most employees are it's shareholders, carrying forward a tradition of shared prosperity.
